Trends are like the currents in an ocean—you can fight them, or you can ride them. Early on, I tried guessing tops and bottoms, and it never worked.
That’s when I focused on trend lines, moving averages, and chart structure. Drawing trend lines over higher lows and lower highs revealed the market’s underlying direction. Combining this with 50-day and 200-day moving averages helped me understand when a trend was strong or weakening.
I also learned to spot trend exhaustion: small candles, low volume, or wicks pushing beyond previous highs often indicate a possible reversal. It’s not perfect, but it gave me an early warning system before the crowd reacted.
